Today’s topic: American Teeth
It’s somewhat surprising that we find teeth on the list of taboos. I mean, what can be said about this subject and why would people avoid it?
There are a couple of things that can go wrong when talking about this and it all fits within a greater story of how people are drawn to beauty and feel repulsion for ugly/imperfect things. The sad truth is that you have to have perfect teeth. When you open your mouth and smile the teeth must be in perfect alignment and of a bright white color. Everything means that you’re doing it wrong or that there is something wrong with it. Freak! Most people do meet this ‘standard’, either if they’re working as a bank teller, cab driver or in sales.
If you don’t have perfect teeth you’d better invest in making them perfect and getting accepted. Another reason you want to keep ‘em in perfect state is that dental operations in US are really really expensive! If you are both ugly and poor, well tough luck for you and good luck trying to accomplish something.
So, there you have it: in a nutshell, beauty is good and you should only hang out with beautiful people. Shallowness rocks!
