New Year’s Resolutions

So, a New Year begins. In the spirit of improving, almost everybody takes on some kind of New Year’s Resolution(s) for the new year. Something that will make them a better person, improve their lifestyle or the lives of those around them. See here:

To me it seems a bit lame to do this. Because if you’re only doing this kind of things forced by and arbitrary date and the gregarious instinct it (usually) means that you are a weak person. We all know the importance of setting goals, but doing so just because everyone does it is as good as setting no goals. It also means that you usually don’t look at what works and what doesn’t work in your life.

So, maybe instead of doing this, we could all do this exercise regularly and also make sure that we check that we obtained the desired results when setting the goals.
